I try to always save a week in October for photography and frequently, that photo shoot takes place in Maine. When possible, I also try to time my traveling to coincide with the full moon. I have been to Bass Harbor during several full moons over the years but many times the moon is just not quite where I need it to be or the light is too dark to render an even exposure throughout. However, this day all the elements came together. The moons location was perfect, the lighting balanced and the surrounding area free from human encroachment. On this crisp, clear, perfect autumn morning, all was right.
