Lema’s Kokopelli Gallery – Moab, Utah
Howard with some of his work in Lema’s Kokopelli Gallery – 2022
This gallery is not only the oldest, it is the preeminent gallery in Moab, Utah situated conspicuously on Main Street. Not only did “Senior” (as he is known) construct the building, he built the business that now resides there. I could not be more honored to partner with this wonderful family and their knowledgeable associates.
Lema’s Kokopelli Gallery specializes in authentic southwest art. “Senior” has been trading with the southwest Native American tribes for well over 36 years. He knows the artists personally, admires them, vets them and befriends them. His son Junior, wife Christy, associates Janet, Hunter and Alex are all extremely knowledgeable and hold the fort down on a daily basis. Each has years of experience. No one works harder than the owners and employees at Lemas. (9am to 9pm – 7 days/week)
This gallery has something for everyone. You will find hand crafted Native American jewelry, hand woven Navajo rugs, hand crafted mesquite tables and lamps with turquoise inlay, original one of a kind southwest paintings by Tony Sr., metal art, exquisite pottery and many other items for sale. The artwork is unique to each Native American tribe. At Lemas, you can spend as little as $20 on a coffee mug or thousands on higher end items.
You will absolutely marvel at the artwork and they will educate you on every piece that captures your heart before you make a purchase. This further enhances your appreciation for the art and the creative hands behind each piece. Lema’s Kokopelli Gallery is the “must see” gallery in Moab for all these reasons and much more.
After a day of exploring the nearby National Parks, enjoy strolling the gateway town of Moab and be sure to visit Lema’s Kokopelli Gallery.
Galleria Mall Display – 2022
Front View
Galleria Mall – 2022 – Back Side
It is true that in some areas of the country, malls are suffering a slow demise. But not here at the Galleria Mall in Mt. Lebanon just outside of Pittsburgh. With anchor stores like Orvis, Pottery Barn, Talbots, and Anthropologie along with restaurants like Mitchells Seafood, Bravo Italiano, Panera, Starbucks and even a movie theater, this mall remains a vibrant place where people can see, touch and try on potential purchases before making them. It is as active as it is unique.
In addition to quality boutique shops, you will find numerous common areas with comfortable furniture where the public can relax, conduct business, hold impromptu meetings and even play board games.
I have had the privilege of exhibiting at the Galleria during the Holiday Season for the past 7 years. (mid November until year end.)
Every time, it has been one of my exhibiting highlights of the year. It is comfortable and devoid of weather influences or the extreme crowds of an outdoor event. The atmosphere is very relaxed usually with plenty of time for each customer. I hope you will make the Galleria part of your shopping plans during the upcoming Holiday Season and by all means, stop by my display on the lower level.
Shepherd’s Heart
(recently renamed “House of Hope” )
With the assistance of Nancy Cochran who champions the development or fund raising arm of Shepherd’s Heart, I had the honor of providing artwork to Shepherd’s Heart in an effort to further enhance this ever evolving facility. It was my distinct pleasure to work with Pastor Mike Wurschmidt, the leader of Shepherd’s Heart along with his very humble and capable staff. What a wonderful organization reaching out to homeless veterans in need and doing all they can to “Leave no Veteran Behind.” Please take a moment to read about this tremendous charitable organization below.

Shepherd’s Heart Veteran’s Home!
Approximately 33% of Pittsburgh’s homeless are US Veterans. When Veteran’s Administration Chaplain Mike Wurschmidt left the US Air Force to begin his ministry among the poor and broken, he never knew that so many of the homeless in our nation’s cities were combat veterans from the Vietnam War. Over the next 22 years, Chaplain Mike and his wife, Tina, have been reaching out to the poor and homeless, including our veterans, in cities across our nation. Since June 1993, they have been in the trenches of Pittsburgh helping the homeless.
Shepherd’s Heart Veteran’s Home (SHVH) also known as the House of Hope (HoH) is a transitional housing for homeless Veterans. The Veteran’s Home is a collaboration between Pittsburgh Veterans Affair’s Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV), Comprehensive Homeless Center (CHC) and Shepherd’s Heart Fellowship, a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. The collaboration aims to achieve a continuum of care for homeless Veterans. There are approximately 1500 homeless veterans on any given night in Allegheny County. In 2006, Shepherd’s Heart Fellowship was awarded a grant from the VA to renovate the second floor of the church and turn it into an “ Engagement Center”. The program aims to service male veterans who are homeless and may have posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse problems, mental illness, dual diagnosis, and those who are disabled. The aim of SHVH is to restore honor and dignity to those who have served our country.
HOUSE OF HOPE PROVIDES:
- Outreach to those veterans living on the streets who otherwise would not seek assistance
- 12 long-term sheltered transitional bedrooms, 3 acute care bedrooms, case management, and rehabilitation
- Employment assistance and life skill training
- Supported permanent housing
- Clinical assessment and referral to needed medical treatment for physical and psychiatric disorders, including substance abuse, by partnering with the Homeless Veteran Health Care (HVHC) team
Please prayerfully consider volunteering or supporting them with a financial contribution. Plenty of great information can be found on their website shepheart.org

Town Planner series of calendars
In 2018, I was asked to provide the artwork for the Town Planner series of calendars. This calendar was provided free of charge to over 110,000 homes in the Pittsburgh Southern suburban communities. This opportunity to reach such a large audience throughout the year was exciting, humbling and a privilege.
